Will it actually look this good, or is it cheap looking in person?
Will it actually look this good, or is it cheap looking in person?
We get this a lot, and it's a fair question since a lot of Halloween decor looks great in photos but falls flat once it's out of the box. The fabric we use is a soft, weighted drape, not a stiff plastic sheet like a lot of cheaper versions on the market. That extra weight is what lets it hang and fall naturally instead of looking flat or stiff. Combined with the LED glow shining through from the inside, it creates that full, ghostly silhouette you see in the photos, not a flimsy sheet with a light stapled to it.
Do I need a tree to hang it, or can I use something else?
Do I need a tree to hang it, or can I use something else?
Not at all. While a tree branch is the most popular spot, the adjustable rope and hardware work just as well on a porch beam, pergola, hook, or any sturdy overhead point. As long as you've got roughly 6 to 7 feet of clearance for it to hang and sway freely, you're good to go. A lot of our customers hang it right by the front door for maximum trick or treater impact.
Is it safe to have around kids or pets?
Is it safe to have around kids or pets?
Yes. It's a fabric decoration with battery powered LED lights inside, there's no open flame, no exposed wiring, and nothing sharp. That said, like any electronic decor, we'd recommend keeping it out of reach of pets that like to chew, and making sure it's hung securely so it's not easily pulled down by curious little hands.
How visible is the glow at night? Will people actually see it from the street?
How visible is the glow at night? Will people actually see it from the street?
Very visible. The LED lighting is positioned to shine through the fabric evenly, giving it that warm, eerie glow effect rather than just a bright spot in one area. Most customers tell us it's easily seen from the sidewalk or even driving by, which is honestly half the fun, watching people slow down or do a double take.
Can I reuse it next year, or is this a one season decoration?
Can I reuse it next year, or is this a one season decoration?
It's built to last more than one Halloween. The fabric folds down compactly for storage, so you can pack it away in the off season without it taking up much space. As long as it's stored somewhere dry, most customers get multiple seasons of use out of it before needing a replacement.
What if I'm nervous about it getting damaged during shipping?
What if I'm nervous about it getting damaged during shipping?
Totally understandable, especially with something this size. Every order is carefully packed to minimize movement and protect the fabric, lights, and swing during transit. And if anything does happen to arrive damaged despite that, we've got a straightforward 14 day window to reach out and get it sorted, whether that means a replacement or a refund.
Does the remote have good range, or do I need to stand right next to it to change modes?
Does the remote have good range, or do I need to stand right next to it to change modes?
The remote is designed for typical porch and yard distances, so you shouldn't need to walk right up to the ghost every time you want to switch modes. Most customers control it comfortably from their porch, doorway, or even just inside the house near a window.
Will this work if I don't have a lot of outdoor space, like an apartment balcony or small porch?
Will this work if I don't have a lot of outdoor space, like an apartment balcony or small porch?
Yes, plenty of customers with smaller spaces make it work. Since the swing height is adjustable, you can shorten the drop to fit tighter spaces like a balcony railing, a small porch overhang, or even an indoor doorway if you want to bring the spook factor inside for a party.
